FEBRUARY 13, WOODLAND MEN'S BREAKFAST
February 13 at 9:00 a.m. the guys from Woodland Church will have their monthly meeting
and breakfast. All men are invited. The breakfast is a great kick-off to the new year.
An important part of all of our meetings is helping to plan, staff, and coordinate the Great
Food For All Program. Through this non-profit program, we sell a monthly assortment of groceries
to area residents at less than half the retail price. This program is here for all, regardless
of income. Because the Great Food Program is open to everyone, it's a great way to get to know a
lot of your neighbors. Come on in and join us in our efforts. It's fun to help friends and
neighbors get a bargain and lower their food bills.

SOCK TREE DONATIONS FOR CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
For 2010, Woodland has set up a very special tree in the lobby. No, it's not
a very early Christmas decoration; it's a sock tree for donations to Akron Children's
Hospital. Members can hang new pairs of socks, including "special" socks, like those with
cartoon chartacters or holiday themes, to be given to children at the hospital who may be
victims of abuse or neglect. Each month, the tree's new "ornaments" will be removed and
transferred to Akron Children's Hospital. Thanks to all to donate to help out some young
people in unfortunate circumstances. All sizes are needed from infant to teens. We hope
to bring a little happiness to some kids who have not had much of it lately.

REGULAR SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Woodland's regular Sunday School classes have resumed for Fall. Our Children's Sunday
School classes as well as our Teens to Adult Class start out on Sunday mornings in the
Sanctuary with everyone else for a few songs and announcements. After the announcements,
those who wish to attend, head off to the individual classrooms. (Please check with idividual
instructors. The participation in Sanctuary activities varies by instructor.) All Sunday school
classes start at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary or in the classrooms. They end at 10:00 a.m., so they
conveniently end at about the same time as the regular Sunday morning service. Questions about our
Sunday School classes can be directed to Pastor Debbie. Check this week's schedule to confirm Pastor
Debbie's office hours. Tuesdays and Thursday mornings are the usual times to find her "In the Office".
If you'd like to speak to the instructors, please leave a message through the church office. This ensures
that you get to speak to someone. That person can then follow-up to make sure that your message gets to
the right person without being lost. (Some personal numbers have changed.)
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

BUY GIFT CARDS, HELP SUPPORT WOODLAND CHURCH
Woodland Church sells gift cards for area restaurants, department stores, grocery stores, and specialty
shops. You pay the face value for the cards, which is their redeemable value at the participating businesses,
but Woodland Church will get a percentage of the proceeds from each card sold. Buy cards as gifts for
friends and family or use them yourself on your next trip to the grocery store. In either case, you get gift
cards that are worth exactly what you paid for them, and Woodland receives a donation from your
purchase. If you buy anything from the many participating stores, do it with a gift card and help out the
church at no additional cost to you. Pastor Debbie has the lists of participating businesses available
at the church. Turn your orders in with your payment to Pastor Debbie on Sunday mornings. Our
goal is to deliver your cards to you on the following Sunday morning. Thanks for your support of Woodland Church!
