The Youth Group meets throughout the fall, winter and
spring months, but not usually in the summer. The meeting time is most often on
select Sunday evenings that they identify in a published schedule for those who wish to attend.
This group is open to young people from sixth grade through high school. Youth
Director Jennifer Hissem engages the teenagers in discussions, projects and
activities that both reinforce Christian family values and are fun
for everyone.
|
For regular meetings, they usually start the evening with a snack of some sort, and then move on to a lesson or game.
Occasionally, a guest speaker is invited in to talk to the kids about pertinent issues.
From time to time, they hold a movie night at the church or head elsewhere for off-site
activities. The activities range from a day at Cedar Point to an afternoon of sled riding
at a local park. They also take trips to Christian concerts, attend multi-church
youth rallies, carol at Christmas, go on hay rides in the fall, or tour local
sites of interest. |

The Women's Circles get together regularly for discussions, activies and luncheons.
The times and locations vary, so please contact the church for more information if
you would like to attend. Additional meeting details can also often be found in The Broadcaster.
The Broadcaster is a monthly publication that is sent to all Woodland members, and it is
also available here, online. You will find it on the Woodland News page.

The men of Woodland Church meet monthly for a monthly breakfast in the Woodland Church dining hall. These
are very informal get togethers. All men who attend Woodland are invited, and
are welcome to bring friends along to join as well.

The breakfast always turns out to be a great start to the day, and it's a good way to plan for
anything that may need to be done around the Church grounds and facilities. The Men of Woodland Church
work together at their meetings to find ways to accomplish special tasks and help members of the congregation who may be in need of assistance.
They have successfully started the Angel Food program at Woodland, and they usually coordinate activities related to that program at the
monthly breakfast meetings. If you want to help out with Angel Food, the meetings are a good place to start.
Check the announcements on the "Home" page, the monthly publication "The Broadcaster", or the on-line calendar to find the date for their next breakfast.
You will find a link to both the Broadcaster and the on-line calendar on the "Woodland News" page. |
